Chul Kim

Chief Executive Officer

Chul Kim, M.D., Ph.D., joined Progeneer in 2021 and currently serves as the CEO for the overall management. Before joining, Dr. Kim served leadership roles responsible for clinical sciences at Samsung Bioepis for 10 years. He is a board-certified Medical Oncologist and has focused on the research in Pharmacology and Drug Development. Dr. Kim developed 20+ years career both in medical institutes and biopharma industry including Severance Hospital, National Cancer Center, Asan Medical Center, Schering-Plough, and Novartis Korea.

Young Ku Lee

Chief Executive Officer

Young Ku Lee is the founder and CEO of Progeneer and he is responsible for maintaining a strong financial position and delivering long-term sustainable value to stakeholders. Before founding Progeneer, Mr. Lee co-founded AbClon, a Korea based biotech which he successfully listed as a public company. He holds an MBA from Murray State University and received his B.S. in Chemistry from Sogang University.

Soong Ho Um

Chief Technology Officer

Soong Ho Um, Ph.D., is a founding member of Progeneer and currently serves as the Chief Technology Officer as well as a tenured Professor for Chemical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University. Dr. Um has extensive experience in nucleic acids engineering with over 130 publications including many in Nature affiliated journals. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship at MIT and earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Biological Engineering at Cornell University.
